PIAA District III serves the athletic needs and administration of public and private high schools in the following counties: Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York.
The PIAA District III Committee will meet Tuesday, April 11, at Hershey Country Club, Hershey, 9 a.m. (annual meeting). The Committee’s business meeting will follow the annual meeting.

FAIRFIELD’S JOSH LONG IS HONORED WITH 2017 THE KIND SNACK FOODS PIAA SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
Josh Long, a senior at Fairfield Area High School, was honored with the 2017 KIND Snack Foods PIAA Sportsmanship Award during halftime of the PIAA Class 6A Boys Basketball Championship game at Giant Center on Saturday, March 25. Josh was selected from among several athletes nominated for the award, which honors two PIAA student-athletes who have displayed outstanding sportsmanship. TICKET PRICES FOR PIAA DISTRICT III CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS ARE $6 FOR ADULTS AND $4 FOR STUDENTS. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF SIX ARE ADMITTED FREE OF CHARGE. CERTAIN SPORTS HAVE DIFFERENT PRICE STRUCTURES. THOSE DIFFERENCES WILL BE POSTED ON THE DISTRICT III WEBSITE.

PIAA MIXED GENDER POLICY
On June 19, 2014, the PIAA Board of Directors adopted a policy that addresses sports in which both genders participate. The policy resulted in specific rules regarding boys playing on traditional girls’ sports teams. The policy is linked below:

DISTRICT 3 and M&T BANK RENEW TITLE SPONSOR PARTNERSHIP THROUGH 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
PIAA District 3 and M&T Bank are pleased to continue M&T Bank’s sponsorship of the District 3 Championships. M&T has committed to sponsorship of all of District 3’s championships in 16 sports in the 2016-2017 school year with annual option years through the 2020-2021 school year. The sponsorship has been in place since April 17, 2012. Since then, both M&T Bank and District 3 have actively promoted the bank’s sponsorship of District 3 championship events.
